With the EU support training in sustainable land management and erosion prevention has been conducted in Khulo municipality

13 July 2020, Khulo – Training in sustainable land management and erosion prevention has been conducted in Khulo municipality. Training was attendance by representatives from Khulo Municipality City Hall, active members of LAG, specialists from adjoining fields and other interested stakeholders. In total, 18 participants attended the training. Main aim of the training was: to learn practical cases of natural resources usage and mechanism of sustainable land management, which are very important topics to better understand erosion prevention mechanisms. The training was conducted by Diana Egiazarova

Training has been conducted in very active regime. Participants shared practical experience in context of Khulo municipality. During the training trainer provide theoretical justification of every practical case.

Training participants actively discussed sustainable land management issues in Khulo municipality and ended with few practical suggestions such as: to raise awareness among population regarding land management issues; request the City Hall to actively work on organization of erosion prevention events.

‘’Training was very interesting. We have discussed very important and new issues. We will try with our forces to solve these problems with support of municipality. – Noted Aslan Tunadze, active member of Khulo LAG.

‘’It is very important to take into consideration local context when we talk about natural hazards. Khulo municipality is very active zone in regard of erosion and it is very important to give significant information to local population to increase awareness about sustainable land management. This action will have positive impact in future development’’ – said trainer – Diana Egiazarova.
