On 7-9 June, 2018, in Khulo, Adjara with the support of EU, Croatian Rural Development Network (HMRR) conducted workshops for Local Development Strategy (LDS) elaboration working group and LAG’s project proposal writing group.
The objectives of the first day workshop were:
14 members of Khulo LDS working group participated in the workshops. The participants assessed if key goals of the strategy correspond to the recognized needs from the SWOT, are all important topics included in LDS draft or not, also they discussed in groups management issues and preferences, relations with beneficiaries and other stakeholders, fundraising strategy and importance of forming working groups.
On the second and third day within the framework of the visit HMRR experts conducted training on “From idea to project”. Goals of the training were to further learn about Project Cycle Management (PCM), by using Results Based Management and PCM, further develop three project ideas, to prepare Action plan for the follow-up activities between the two workshops. Project team finalized problem trees, stakeholder analysis, goals tree, strategy analysis and analysis of the resources.
At the end of the workshops action plan for the period between the two workshops was prepared.
The workshops were organized in the framework of the EU-funded project “Promotion of Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality” implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).
