Main objective of the contest was to create the LAG logo based on children's ideas. Ten students participated in the competition, who presented their works together with the short narrative concepts.

The logo ideas were evaluated by young members of Khulo LAG according to three main components, such as the art work, the idea and the creativity. As a result, three prize winners were nominated, Tamta Tavartkiladze, XI grade student won the first place in the competition. Her work and concept reflected the importance of close communication in the development of municipality, with special emphasis on tourism potential in the logo.

The project manager Giorgi Murvanidze addressed the guests invited to the award ceremony. He thanked the children for participating in the competition and congratulated them on the International Children's Day.

The competition was organized in the framework of the EU-funded project “Promotion of Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality” implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) in partnership with Croatian non-governmental organization HMRR and PMC Research Center, under the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).

The EU is supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD Programme. Implemented since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million, the main goal of ENPARD is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia. The first phase of ENPARD in Georgia focused on developing the potential of agriculture. The second and third phases of ENPARD focus on creating economic opportunities for rural population that go beyond agricultural activities. More information on ENPARD is available at: www.enpard.ge.
