Caritas Czech Republic launched information campaign in Khulo municipality under the ENPARD’s rural development project

ENPARD implementing partner organization Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) has launched information campaign under the rural development project in Khulo municipality. The campaign aims to inform Khulo community about ENPARD’s rural development project and the European LEADER approach, so that maximum inclusion of the local population in the project activities is achieved.

Information meeting were already held in Ghorjomi, Agara, Vashlovani Sakrebulo’s some villages and with Khulo Sakrebulo’s representatives. Among the participants of the meetings are different groups, such as farmers, entrepreneurs, small businesses and local government representatives.

The information campaign will last till November 2017 and will cover 12 Sakrebulo of Khulo municipality and the city of Khulo itself.    

Starting from June 2017, Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG), in partnership with Croatian non-governmental organization HMRR and PMC Research Center, is implementing project “Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality” in Khulo municipality. Target groups of the project are local farmers, local guesthouse operators and touristic service providers, local food producers and handcraft workers, local community members (including CSOs, youth groups etc.), local government representatives. In the framework of the project Local Action Group (LAG) will be established, which will elaborate local development strategy (LDS). According to priorities identified in LDS municipality development grants will be announced. 

The project is financed by the European Union under the ENPARD programme and its duration is 46 months.
