27 July 2020, Khulo – Project proposal writing training was conducted for LAG active members to strengthen their human capacity. Grant application was developed for Europe Foundation eco project proposal contes.
Training was attended by 12 participants (4 woman). Project idea, to support environmental vulnerability of Khulo Municipality was generated by LAG members. Project name is ‘’To organize erosion resistance events to gain economical support in Khulo Municipality’’ and its aim to identify erosion vulnerable territories and plan economic gain events. Project duration is 12 months with the budget of 60 000 GEL. LAG team, together with external expert, Diana Egiazarova, was working during one month for the project proposal development, which was submitted to Europe Foundation. The application has passed the first stage and full project proposal was successfully submitted.
To ensure sustainable development of Khulo LAG constant capacity building activities are planning. For the future is planned thematic project writing sessions, to renew Local Development Strategy of Khulo Municipality and to attract more finance resources for organization.
The EU is supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD Programme. Implemented since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million, the main goal of ENPARD is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia. The first phase of ENPARD in Georgia focused on developing the potential of agriculture.
