EU SUPPORTED RURAL DEVELOPMENT SECOND GRANT COMPETITION IS ANNOUNCED IN KHULO MUNICIPALITY

In the frames of the EU funded project “Promotion Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality”, Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) and Khulo Local Action Group (LAG) announce first phase of the second Rural Development (RD) grant competition in Khulo Municipality.

Main goal of the RD grant competition is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life and socio-economic condition in Khulo Municipality, in accordance with the priorities and objectives of the Khulo Local Development Strategy (LDS) 2018-2022, elaborated by Khulo LAG. Six priority directions are defined by Khulo LDS:

  • Rural tourism
  • Agriculture
  • Communal and Social Infrastructure
  • Culture, health, education, sports, and youth
  • Off-farm entrepreneurship
  • Environment and sustainable management of natural resources

 

RD grant competition is targeting entire administrative territory of Khulo Municipality. Grants will be awarded only to projects which reflect the priorities of Khulo LDS. Priority will be given to the projects, which are responding to objectives and strategic actions defined by Khulo LDS (please see Khulo Local Development Strategy 2018-2022, pg. 5-6). The application cannot be submitted by the winners of the first RD grant competition. Restriction also applies to their family members. Grants are available for public, community and business projects.

Maximum amount of grant in the frame of the RD Grant Competition for each project:

  • From EUR 2,000 to EUR 60,000 for commercial projects (equivalent in GEL);
  • From EUR 2,000 to EUR 20,000 for non-commercial public and municipality projects (equivalent in GEL);
  • From EUR 2,000 to EUR 20,000 for projects submitted by Civil Society Organizations (CSO) (equivalent in GEL);

Applicants wishing to participate in the competition, should submit Project Idea Form until July 1st, 2019, 17:30 pm. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered

Applications can be submitted only electronically in two ways:

  • Project Idea Form can be filled in and send electronically to the following address: info.enpard.khulo@caritas.cz
  • Bring electronic version of the application, for example USB or record on CD) to CCRG office in Khulo, located at Tbel Abuseridze str #2, Hotel Khulo, 3rd floor.

Consultations about the grant component will be organized in every community of Khulo municipality.

Technical consultations about the project idea forms will also be provided at ENPARD Khulo project office before the closure of the Grant Programme.
